Hang on, it’s whitewater ahead! A thrilling and fun adventure. You’ll get wet and enjoy every minute of it as we head for Healy, 11 miles down river. Get into real whitewater rafting as you hang on through thrilling rapids such as “Razorback”, “Coffee Grinder”, and “Ice Worm”! A great trip to paddle raft and work as a team as you navigae Class II, III, and IV rapids, and don't worry if you prefer to not be that adventurous you can ride in an oar boat and let your guide to all the work..

Wilderness Run
Mild Water

A great trip for families! Hold on and enjoy your introduction to rafting in Alaska. You may see moose, sheep, caribou and bear, as you raft downstream 11 miles. The most scenic portion of the Nenana River gives you thrilling, and enjoyable rafting. A guided float trip with less challenging rapids for the more cautious river runner. Great for the photographer enthusiast. Class I, II, with one III rapids.

Healy Express
Best of both!
Get the best of both worlds on this adventure which combines both the “McKinley” and “Canyon Run”. A brief break in the middle gives you time for a quick snack if you wish to bring one. This guided run travels 22 miles on the beautiful Nenana river. A great raft adventure that combines the beauty of the scenic wilderness and excitement of white water on the Canyon Run. Class I, II, III, & IV rapids.

On the Canyon Wave Raft Tour, you’ll journey through 11 miles of awesome rapids on the Nenana River with spectacular views of Denali National Park gems, like Mount Healy and Sugarloaf Mountain. Join the team as a Paddle Rafter or play it cool and be an Oar Boat Rider. Class III & IV rapids.

Enjoy a gorgeous tour along the natural boundary of Denali National Park. You’ll glide through 11 miles of glacially carved valleys and amazing vistas with panoramic views of Mount Fellows and the Nenana Canyon. Although you’ll encounter the occasional rapid, this option is mellow enough for the whole family.

Wave Train

Enjoy the best of both worlds!
Experience breathtaking views of the Scenic Wave section with views of Mt. Healy and Sugarloaf mountain, you will continue downstream and raft through action-packed rapids on the Canyon Wave with panoramic views of Mt. Fellows and the Nenana Canyon for a total of 22 miles.

Traverse Alaska Private Custom Raft Adventures
Exclusive 4-Hour Raft Trip-Ideal for small and large groups.
Exclusive 4-Hour Raft Trip will traverse two sections of the Nenana River. The Nenana is a glacially fed river that makes up the eastern boundary of Denali National Park.
Each trip is customized depending on how adventurous you’re feeling, with options for “less splashy” Class I-III or “more splashy” Class III+.
All trips will utilize an oar frame, or paddle-assist raft. And of course, all our raft trips are private– or as we say in the rafting world, “exclusive.” That means that it's just you and your group, with our safe, talented, professional, and experienced River Team.
Expect to spend up to 4 hours on the water. From pick-up to drop-off, expect around 6 hours.

You want a more personal rafting experience, just you and a guide.

Difficulty: Beginner and intermediate options available. The route chosen will depend on your group’s experience and physical abilities. No prior rafting experience required. Time: 9 a.m. (Custom start times available) Duration: 6 hours (up to 4 hours on the water) Bring: Lunch, snacks and water for an 8-hour day Personal gear, including warm base layers. Inclusions: All the equipment needed for the river trip including: Rafts and paddles. Personal floatation devices. Drysuits (to be worn over comfortable base layers) River shoes (your shoes will stay on dry land) Drybags (when necessary) Helmets (when necessary) Neoprene gloves (when necessary) First aid kit Emergency communication device Exclusions: Guests ~250 pounds or more (depending on body proportion) may not be able to go rafting. Relevant factors are gear sizing and safety on the river, should they need to be rescued. Please contact us if you have questions.

Day Trips: Cancellations made more than 10 days before the trip start date will receive a full refund, less 15% deposit. Cancellations made within 10 days prior to the trip start date will receive no refund.
