This full-day adventure includes hiking and rafting in the Denali area with a professional river guide. Hiking and rafting will be customized to the activity level or the participants. All trips are private (travelers who know each other) and customized for each group.

Wear layers, sunscreen, hats and sunglasses.

Payment/Cancellation Policy for Custom Guided Trips:

Payment collected 7 days prior to arrival.

Day Trips: Cancellations made more than 10 days before the trip start date will receive a full refund, less 15% deposit. Cancellations made within 10 days prior to the trip start date will receive no refund.

Traverse Alaska Private Custom Raft Adventures

Exclusive 4-Hour Raft Trip-Ideal for small and large groups.

Exclusive 4-Hour Raft Trip will traverse two sections of the Nenana River. The Nenana is a glacially fed river that makes up the eastern boundary of Denali National Park.

Each trip is customized depending on how adventurous you’re feeling, with options for “less splashy” Class I-III or “more splashy” Class III+.

All trips will utilize an oar frame, or paddle-assist raft. And of course, all our raft trips are private– or as we say in the rafting world, “exclusive.” That means that it's just you and your group, with our safe, talented, professional, and experienced River Team.

Expect to spend up to 4 hours on the water. From pick-up to drop-off, expect around 6 hours.

Difficulty: Beginner and intermediate options available. The route chosen will depend on your group’s experience and physical abilities. No prior rafting experience required. Time: 9 a.m. (Custom start times available) Duration: 6 hours (up to 4 hours on the water) Bring: Lunch, snacks and water for an 8-hour day Personal gear, including warm base layers. Inclusions: All the equipment needed for the river trip including: Rafts and paddles. Personal floatation devices. Drysuits (to be worn over comfortable base layers) River shoes (your shoes will stay on dry land) Drybags (when necessary) Helmets (when necessary) Neoprene gloves (when necessary) First aid kit Emergency communication device Exclusions: Guests ~250 pounds or more (depending on body proportion) may not be able to go rafting. Relevant factors are gear sizing and safety on the river, should they need to be rescued. Please contact us if you have questions.

Full day adventures are designed to meet the abilities and interests in your group. Each trip is catered to your interests and abilities, whether it’s taking scenic photos, learning about flora and fauna or pushing your limits on a challenging, remote hike. Trips are designed to get away from crowds and maintained trails and show visitors the wild Alaskan backyard. All trips are private (travelers who know each other) and customized for each group.
